Between Thursday and Sunday, multiple drone attacks reportedly struck locations in El Obeid, North Kordofan, including a power substation and a fuel station. According to the Sudan Doctors Network, these strikes forced the closure of several medical facilities, such as a dialysis centre, and led to the shutdown of water stations, further limiting essential services for local residents.

Drone attacks also targeted two key bridges south of Um Ruwaba city and a main highway in Ar Rahad city, both in North Kordofan. Despite the strikes, humanitarian partners reported that movement in these areas remained possible.

Meanwhile, a cholera outbreak in West Kordofan has worsened, with 700 cases and 60 deaths recorded as of 16 June. Limited humanitarian access, insecurity, displacement, and lack of safe water and sanitation have contributed to the outbreak. The UN and its partners are providing cholera treatments, supplies, awareness campaigns, and have set up treatment centres to respond.

Drone attacks have also been reported in other parts of Sudan, including North Darfur and White Nile states, causing civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure. On Sunday, at least one civilian was killed and 15 injured when a drone strike targeted a fuel station at a market in Kosti city, White Nile state.

The UN has urged all parties in the conflict between the Rapid Support Forces and Sudanese Armed Forces to follow international humanitarian and human rights law. This includes protecting civilians and infrastructure and facilitating humanitarian access during the ongoing crisis affecting over 30 million people in need of aid.
