Zapopan hosted a major international diving competition featuring top athletes from various countries, delivering high-level performances over four days before an enthusiastic local audience. Mexican Olympic medallists Osmar Olvera and Juan Celaya captured gold in the men's synchronised 3m springboard with 408.39 points, ahead of Germany's Timo Barthel and Tim Axer, and Colombia's Luis Felipe Uribe Bermúdez and Sebastián Morales, who took bronze.
Mexico achieved further success as Lia and Mia Cueva won gold in the women's synchronised 3m springboard, narrowly defeating China's Shan Lin and Yiping Long. Colombians Daniela Zapata and Viviana Andrea Uribe Bermúdez earned third place. On the platform, Mexicans Randal Willars Valdez and Kevin Berlin took gold in the men's synchronised 10m, while Gabriela Agúndez and Alejandra Estudillo Torres secured silver in the women's synchronised 10m behind China's Zhixin Qu and Minjie Zhang. In the men's 10m platform, Zhihao Yang took gold, followed by Mexico's Randal Willars Valdez and Kenny Zamudio with silver and bronze respectively. China's Zhixin Qu won the women's 10m platform event, with Mexicans Suri Cueva and Samantha Jiménez rounding out the podium.
The Chinese team also won the mixed team event, ahead of Mexico's first team and Germany. The competition showcased Mexico's rising strength in diving alongside China's continued dominance in individual performances.
