On World Children’s Day, the German Football Association (DFB) launched the 'Mein Spiel. Meine Grenze.' ('My Game. My Limit.') campaign to raise awareness of children’s rights and promote safer environments in football. The initiative aims to help 24,000 amateur clubs across Germany establish protection and prevention structures and sustain safeguarding practices.
The campaign provides practical resources and educational materials, including a child-friendly flyer outlining key rights and support information, guidance for parents, coaches, and clubs on addressing safeguarding concerns, and a comprehensive brochure on child protection policies and best practices. Additional resources include posters, digital content, and short videos designed for young audiences on social media.
Germany national team players Oliver Baumann and Joshua Kimmich are supporting the campaign. The DFB and UNICEF marked the launch with an event at the DFB Campus focused on football and children’s rights, welcoming children and young people to participate.
This campaign aligns with UEFA's ongoing commitment to child and youth protection under its Football Sustainability Strategy 2030. UEFA also provides an online platform with resources, including recommendations, event guidelines, online training courses for football professionals, and best practice examples.
