On September 10, 2026, the President signed S. 858, the Hershel ‘Woody’ Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act, into law.
This law authorizes the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation to establish a commemorative monument on the National Mall.
The monument will honor the extraordinary acts of valor, selfless service, and sacrifice of Medal of Honor recipients.
The act designates the location and supports construction of a national monument recognizing these individuals.
