The International Monetary Fund's Capacity Development Office in Thailand (CDOT), established in September 2012, was initially known as the IMF Technical Assistance Office for Lao P.D.R. and Myanmar (TAOLAM). It is hosted by the Bank of Thailand.

CDOT primarily serves Myanmar, Lao P.D.R., Cambodia, and Vietnam, with some projects extending to other Southeast Asian and Pacific Island countries. The office leads capacity development projects in public financial management, monetary and foreign exchange operations, government finance statistics, external sector statistics, and macroeconomic management.

External donors for CDOT activities include Thailand and Japan. The Japan Administered Account for Selected IMF Activities (JSA) funds projects in areas such as public financial management and macroeconomic management.

CDOT cooperates with other IMF regional offices, including the IMF-Singapore Regional Training Institute, the South Asia Training and Technical Assistance Center, and the IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Tokyo, to enhance regional capacity development efforts.
