The International Monetary Fund's Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) is a key presence in a region of 37 member economies. Established in 1997, the office focuses on advancing policy dialogue and capacity development through peer-to-peer learning initiatives. It also supports regional surveillance efforts led by the IMF's Asia-Pacific Department.

As a center for knowledge exchange, the OAP plays a crucial role in conveying the IMF’s policy messages to stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific. The office is led by Director Takashi Nagaoka and is located in Tokyo, Japan.
