The White House has introduced GOLD EAGLE, a new clearinghouse designed to enable unprecedented coordination in identifying and patching cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This initiative leverages advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the speed and scale of cyber defense efforts, focusing on protecting American critical infrastructure and software systems.

GOLD EAGLE was established following President Trump’s June 2, 2026 Executive Order "Promoting Advanced Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security" (EO 14409). The system aims to reduce duplicated scanning, accelerate exploit detection, and deliver prioritized, actionable threat remediation information to both federal entities and private sector defenders.

The initiative involves close collaboration among federal agencies, including the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Homeland Security through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the Department of War, alongside private sector partners. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent emphasized the department's cooperation with the private sector to safeguard financial institutions.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth described GOLD EAGLE as a vanguard for America’s cyber defense, utilizing advanced AI and innovation to protect critical infrastructure and national security. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin also highlighted the partnership’s role in strengthening existing security measures to defend networks and software.

Overall, GOLD EAGLE marks a new operational model, promoting collective risk identification, prioritized response, and greater resilience to support the economic and security systems vital to the nation’s daily life.
