The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Indian Energy is accepting applications from Tribal entities and governments to become Host Institutions for the Energy Innovator Fellowship. This program offers one- to two-year DOE-funded fellowships for recent graduates and early-career professionals to collaborate on host-driven energy projects.

Eligible hosts include Tribal governments, natural resources departments, Tribal colleges, Tribal utilities, and intertribal organizations. The fellowship aims to enhance educational opportunities in vital energy sectors through hands-on projects with host organizations.

A webinar on September 2, 2026, from 3 to 4 p.m. ET will provide information on the application process for hosting an Energy Innovator Fellow. Interested parties are encouraged to attend to learn more about the program and how to apply.
