Kristjan Čeh delivered one of the best discus series in European Championships history, successfully defending his title in Birmingham. He opened with a 70.83m throw, surpassing the previous championship record of 69.78m set by Mykolas Alekna in 2018. Čeh improved further, reaching 72.51m in the third round and extending the record by nearly three meters. He surpassed 70 meters four times, finishing with a 70.68m throw in the final round. Alekna, the world record holder, took silver with 69.89m, while Germany's Henrik Janssen earned bronze with a season-best 69.53m. Čeh credited his success to his training and the high level of competition at the championships.

Amy Hunt completed a memorable sprint double by winning the 200m after taking the 100m crown earlier at the event. She held off British teammate Dina Asher-Smith and Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke, winning in 22.19 seconds. Adeleke set a national record of 22.28 seconds for silver, with Asher-Smith taking bronze in 22.29 seconds. Hunt had previously won the 100m in 11.00 seconds three days earlier.

Matthew Hudson-Smith added to the host nation's success by winning his third European 400m title at Alexander Stadium. Starting from lane nine, he established an early lead and held on to win convincingly in 44.17 seconds. France's Muhammad Abdallah Kounta claimed silver, with the Netherlands' Jona finishing third.
