International coach Peter Thompson began with a session on career management, highlighting the critical 'danger zone' for athletes aged 19 to 22. Olympic and Paralympic coach Kim Cousins discussed readiness for winning, emphasizing planning and periodization strategies. Cousins was enthusiastic about coach education and valued the opportunity to share knowledge and stories worldwide to contribute to the growth of track and field.

Biomechanics expert Jim Radcliffe discussed the growing use of artificial intelligence in the sport, particularly the use of smartphone analysis for technical precision. Radcliffe emphasized the importance of diverse coaching approaches, suggesting that sharing different methods can enhance athlete development universally.

The symposium concluded with a panel titled 'The modern athlete blueprint: scaling sustainable elite careers,' featuring a lively debate among the speakers and four-time Olympic medallist-turned-coach and broadcaster Ato Boldon.
