The FIA European Baja Cup will return to an eight-round format in 2026, giving competitors the flexibility to select six events for their championship points tally. This format aims to lower costs and boost the competition's popularity by letting participants customize their racing calendar.
The calendar features four events in the Iberian Peninsula along with rounds in Greece, Italy, Hungary, and Poland. The action opens with Spain’s Baja TT Cuenca from May 7–9. Following the removal of Turkey’s Baja Troia, Baja Greece will serve as a round for both the FIA World and European Baja Cups from June 4–7. The Italian Baja will also host both championships from June 25–28. Baja Spain Aragón in Teruel will count for both series from July 23–26; competitors can register and score points in only one Cup.
The Hungarian Baja is set for its usual mid-August slot (August 13–15) and will be followed by Baja Poland near Szczecin from August 27–30. Portugal will conclude the series with two events: Baja TT Sharish Reguengos Mourão on September 18–20, and the renamed BP Ultimate Baja de Portalegre from October 15–18. Competitors must nominate up to six Bajas at which they intend to score points.
Titles will be awarded to overall Drivers, Navigators, and Teams, as well as Ultimate Drivers and Navigators, Challenger, SSV, and Stock Drivers and Navigators. Additionally, Junior (under 26 years as of January 1) and Master (over 50 years as of January 1) Drivers titles will be presented.
