On 26 May 2026, Slovenia deposited its instrument of ratification for the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education with the UNESCO Director-General.
The Convention, adopted on 25 November 2019 in Paris, is designed to facilitate international recognition of higher education qualifications.
According to Article XVIII.2 of the Convention, it will enter into force for Slovenia three months after the date of deposit, on 26 August 2026.
