World Athletics has launched its official mobile app, consolidating live results, performance data, news, and interactive games into a personalised fan experience. The app is available for both iOS and Android; users can download it by opening the provided link on their mobile devices. The launch aligns with the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest.

The app serves as a second-screen companion for live event coverage, offering schedules, detailed splits, jumps, and throws as competitions unfold. Fans can customise their experience by selecting favourite athletes, countries, and events to follow. This feature keeps users engaged with visually appealing statistics and real-time results, enabling them to track the action or analyse performances.

In addition to live updates, the app integrates World Athletics content, including news, athlete features, and behind-the-scenes access. Some material may debut on the app before appearing on other World Athletics platforms. The Play Zone allows users to participate in trivia, polls, and a Play Predictor feature to forecast event outcomes during competitions.

Fan engagement is boosted with opportunities to win rewards, such as signed items from top athletes, official merchandise, and invitations to global events. The app also provides event schedules, ticket access, viewing locations, and an online shop for World Athletics products. While launching with branding for the Ultimate Championship, it is designed as a year-round resource for athletics fans worldwide.

The World Athletics Ultimate Championship, held from September 11 to 13, aims to identify the best athlete among world and Olympic champions, Diamond League winners, and top-ranked competitors. This first edition features a prize pool of US$10 million. Tickets are available via the official website.
