Josh Kerr won the 1500m title at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest with a time of 3:29.35, narrowly beating Cameron Myers, who finished in 3:29.68.
This was Kerr's first 1500m race of the season, yet he entered as the world leader after his 3:27.62 performance during his mile world record of 3:42.66 at the London Diamond League.
Kerr's performance in Budapest improved his own Hungarian all-comers’ record of 3:29.38, set when he won the world title in Budapest in 2023.
