India's high jump athlete Pooja won gold at the Asian U20 Championships in Hong Kong, clearing 1.91m to break a 20-year-old championship record. She also set an Indian senior record by clearing 1.93m. Pooja attempted the Asian U20 record of 1.96m but did not succeed, and plans to target this mark again at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Pooja's previous achievements include Asian U18 Championships gold and medals at the Asian U20 Championships and Commonwealth Youth Games.

South Korea’s Park Si-hoon won shot put gold, breaking a 15-year-old Asian U20 record with a throw of 20.65m. Park has medaled at previous Asian U18 and U20 competitions and aims to compete at the inaugural Asian U23 Championships, aspiring to reach 21 meters.

Suleiman Abdulrahman from the United Arab Emirates won the 400m in 44.85 seconds, setting a new championship record and surpassing the previous mark of 45.53 seconds. He was also part of the mixed 4x400m relay team that set a record with a time of 3:18.81. Aminat Kamarudeen, also from UAE, earned two gold medals in the 400m and mixed relay events.
