From 11 to 13 September 2026, Budapest will host the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship, a global event bringing together the world’s top athletes. The championship aims to redefine the fan experience by combining elite performance, innovation, and a unique approach to television production.
Mondo has been named Official Global Supplier of athletics equipment for this event, continuing its role as a key technical partner for major international athletics competitions. The company will provide custom equipment adapted to the championship's visual identity, including hurdles, landing systems for high jump and pole vault, distance indicators, implement carts, technical supports, and athlete benches with LED screens. All equipment will be fully branded to help create a distinctive and recognizable competition environment.
The event’s field of play is designed as a performance stage, where every element—competition surfaces, visual graphics, and athletics equipment—reinforces the event's identity and enhances both broadcast and live spectator experiences. This integrated approach combines functionality, safety, and visual storytelling, adding a new dimension to the championship.
Mondo’s involvement continues its nearly 40-year collaboration with World Athletics, having supplied surfaces and equipment since 1987 for many prestigious athletics events. Participation in the World Athletics Ultimate Championship continues this partnership, with a focus on technical excellence and design innovation to enrich the event presentation.
