The Art for Earth: Climate Creativity Lab 2026 is a collaborative initiative between the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, developed under the framework "Je Create: Culture and Innovation for a Sustainable Future." The project aims to connect artistic practices with climate change solutions.
The Lab's first public event, a webinar, featured six selected artists presenting climate-related projects from the Asia-Pacific region. Their presentations covered key outcomes, creative methods, community engagement, and lessons learned.
A moderated panel discussed how the arts can raise climate awareness, influence behavioral change, and strengthen community resilience. The event aimed to inspire young artists and cultural practitioners to engage in climate action.
The webinar welcomed a diverse audience of artists, researchers, and policymakers, providing an opportunity to learn from leading practitioners and network with others in the region's cultural and climate action community. The event was held online via Zoom.
