The World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) are scheduled for December 1–6, 2026, at the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, also known as the Water Cube. Morning heats will begin at 10:00 local time, with semi-finals and finals held during evening sessions starting at 19:00. The final day’s evening session will start earlier, at 18:00, highlighting sprint and relay events.
The competition features a full range of individual and relay events for men and women, including the Mixed Freestyle and Medley relays—now prominent parts of the short course championships.
World Aquatics President Husain Al Musallam welcomed the championship’s return to the Water Cube, praising Beijing's history of hosting world-class aquatics events. He encouraged athletes and fans to prepare for six days of top-level racing in the iconic venue.
