At the Navegantes competition in Brazil, Lucas Simões won the men's half marathon with a time of 1:08:02. Renato Ferreira finished second in 1:10:27.
In the women's half marathon, Beatriz Neres claimed victory with a time of 1:21:17. Carla de Almeida and Daniele Trevisan took second and third with times of 1:22:21 and 1:25:13, respectively. Carina Carlan placed fourth in 1:25:41.
All top finishers in both races represented Brazil.
