At a recent World Athletics combined events competition, Algerian athletes delivered strong performances in sprints, jumps, and throws. In the men’s events, Dhiae Boudoumi (born 16 October 2001) recorded the fastest 100 metres in Group 1 with 10.91 seconds into a -1.7 m/s headwind. He also led the 400 metres with 48.23 seconds and achieved the highest marks in high jump (1.99 m) and long jump (7.11 m, +0.9 m/s wind).
Bilal Kaikea (born 31 October 2004) ran 11.56 seconds in the 100 metres (Group 2, -1.9 m/s headwind) and won the shot put with 12.45 meters. He also ranked highly in the long jump with 6.48 m.
Among women, Rahil Hamel (born 21 July 2002) posted the top 200 metres time of 25.49 seconds (+0.2 m/s wind, Group 1). She also led in the 100 metres hurdles (13.93 seconds, -1.5 m/s wind, Group 1) and high jump (1.62 m). Hania Abdallah (born 7 October 2001) and Manel Kahlouch (born 31 January 2006) also delivered strong results in hurdles and high jump.
