The Notification and Federal Employee Anti-discrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002 (No FEAR Act) increases accountability for federal agencies regarding discrimination or retaliation against employees. Such actions may involve whistleblower complaints or proceedings before the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The No FEAR Act requires each federal agency to publicly post quarterly summary statistical data on equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaints filed against them during each fiscal year. Agencies must also provide cumulative year-end data covering the previous five years.
