Astronauts Chris Williams from NASA and Sophie Adenot from the European Space Agency are collaborating inside the Kibo laboratory module’s Life Science Glovebox on the International Space Station.

They are processing genetic material samples for the DNA Nano Therapeutics-3 experiment, which investigates new methods to manufacture cancer treatments.

The experiment explores DNA-inspired assembly techniques that may enable the production of therapies such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy designed to kill cancer cells and activate the immune system.
