BK Häcken take a 1-0 aggregate lead into the second leg of the inaugural UEFA Women’s Europa Cup final against Hammarby, held at Hisingen Arena in Gothenburg. Felicia Schröder scored the decisive goal in the first leg in Stockholm, giving Häcken an edge in the first all-Swedish UEFA final.

In the first leg, Häcken capitalized early, maintaining their lead despite Hammarby hitting the post twice. Häcken also struck the woodwork through Anna Anvegård. Last season’s Swedish champions retained key attackers Schröder and Monica Jusu Bah, who combined for the goal. Hammarby, in only their second European campaign, created several chances but now face the challenge of winning away against Häcken—a feat they have not achieved since rejoining Sweden’s top flight in 2021.

This final ensures Sweden’s first UEFA women’s club trophy since 2003/04, when Umeå defended the old UEFA Women’s Cup. Domestically, Häcken currently rank fourth in the 2026 Damallsvenskan and Hammarby stand third, with both sides also reaching the Swedish Cup final.

Häcken coach Elena Sadiku expressed pride in the first-leg performance but emphasized that the tie is not decided, noting areas for improvement before the home leg. Hammarby’s William Strömberg stressed there are 90 minutes left and described the result as only halfway settled. Forward Felicia Schröder highlighted the importance of maintaining tempo for the second leg, while Hammarby defender Sofia Reidy called the occasion unique for their team.
