The 61st annual International Swimming Hall of Fame induction ceremony honored the Class of 2026, featuring Olympic medallists Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED) and László Cseh (HUN) among others in various aquatic disciplines. The class includes Honor Swimmers, an Honor Open Water Swimmer, an Honor Diver, and honorees from water polo, artistic swimming, masters swimming, coaching, contributors, and Paralympic swimming. Ryan Lochte (USA) and coach Gregg Troy (USA) from the 2025 class were also formally inducted at this event.

Ranomi Kromowidjojo earned four Olympic medals, including gold in the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle at Beijing 2008 and a double win in the 50m and 100m Freestyle at London 2012, setting Olympic records in both. Her career includes multiple World Aquatics Championships medals and world titles in short course competition. She has previously held world records in the 50m Freestyle and several relay events. Kromowidjojo was presented by her husband, Ferry Weertman, the Honor Open Water Swimmer inductee, marking the first married couple inducted on the same evening. They have a daughter born in February 2026.

Kromowidjojo reflected on her journey from a local swimmer to an international champion, highlighting her persistence through challenges. She dedicated her induction to her family, coaches, and teammates, and expressed her commitment to promoting a passion for water that benefits aquatic communities, the environment, and future generations.

László Cseh was recognized for his sustained excellence as a five-time Olympian and six-time Olympic medallist, cementing his status among the sport's greats.
