The World Aquatics Scholarship Programme, established in 2014, offers financial and technical support to athletes with recognized sporting achievements who face challenges due to inadequate local training conditions. The program encourages multicultural cooperation and provides a platform for athletes to learn from experienced coaches, aiming for holistic development both as athletes and individuals. Currently, 132 athletes are benefiting from the 2023–2025 cycle, with most training at World Aquatics Training Centres for one to two years. Eligibility requires national team membership and a commitment to participate in upcoming World Aquatics Championships and the Olympic Games.
The Stipendium Hungaricum Sports Scholarship Programme, launched by the Hungarian Government in 2021, is coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation and managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. It allows international students with recognized sporting achievements, excluding those from EU and European Economic Area states, to pursue university studies while advancing athletic training in cooperation with the Hungarian Swimming Association.
