Canada, led by coach Kyriaki Liosi, remained unbeaten in the Women's Division II Water Polo Tournament with a 15-10 win over Portugal. Although Portugal leveled the match multiple times, Canada pulled ahead decisively in the final quarter to secure its third victory in the event.

The match featured several lead changes, with Canada starting 4-1 before Portugal tied it 4-4. At the first break, the teams were even at 5-5. Canada extended its advantage in the second half, thanks to six goals from Kyra Christmas and important saves by goalkeeper Alexandra Stoddard, who recorded 10 saves.

Portugal’s Maria Machado scored four goals but was ejected in the final minutes after receiving three fouls. Portugal's goalkeepers, Maria Santos and Mariana Carvalho, made nine and eight saves respectively but could not close the gap.

Canada’s experience and resilience proved crucial, as they never allowed Portugal to take the lead despite repeated challenges. The result positions Canada strongly as the tournament advances toward the semifinals.
