Moesha Johnson of Australia took first place in the women's 10km race at the Ibiza Open Water World Cup, competing in challenging conditions with choppy waves and 18.6°C water temperatures. Johnson led throughout, adapting to race changes and focusing on pace to manage the cold water. She explained the race had many unknowns and that keeping her heart rate up was crucial to staying warm, describing her approach as "racing the conditions first, and then thinking about tactics second." Spain's Angela Martinez Guillen finished five seconds behind Johnson to take silver. Martinez Guillen started towards the back, stayed within the top ten, and moved up to fourth before the final lap, finishing strongly to challenge Johnson near the end. This result is her fourth World Cup medal and places her eighth in the overall standings.
