The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Electricity and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation will host a workshop from August 18 to 21, 2026, focused on electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations for integrating large loads and generation into the electric grid.
This event will bring together industry stakeholders to review progress in the DOE-initiated EMT simulation initiative, aimed at supporting a more reliable, affordable, and secure power system.
The workshop will feature tutorials supported by the DOE Interconnection Innovation Exchange (i2x), designed to enhance understanding and allow participants to conduct EMT simulations using commercial tools.
