The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), in partnership with NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation, announced the Permitting Innovators Expo, a full-day event on July 31, 2026, at the Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key. The Expo will showcase technologies designed to modernize and accelerate federal environmental review and permitting processes through public-private collaboration.
The event will provide spaces for high-potential solutions to demonstrate their technologies to federal agencies, policymakers, and industry leaders involved in environmental review and permitting. Plenary and breakout sessions will offer opportunities for speakers to share lessons learned and best practices in federal permitting.
The Expo aims to facilitate direct engagement between federal agency staff and innovators. Top-scoring solutions from a call for submissions earlier in 2026 will be invited to participate. These solutions will also be compiled in the Permitting Innovators Solutions Catalog, to be shared with federal agencies later in the year.
According to CEQ Chairman Katherine Scarlett, the event will help identify innovative technologies that may accelerate the delivery of critical infrastructure projects to the American public. Interested attendees from government, industry, and policy sectors are encouraged to submit an interest form, though space is limited.
