The second phase of the Ultimate Fan Challenge has produced five finalists, each representing a unique competition category that highlights global passion for athletics.
The categories and finalists are: Participation & Embodiment represented by Braulio from the United States; Presence & Pilgrimage with Pedro from the United Kingdom; Lifestyle & Culture by Jarrell from the United States; Emotion & Legacy featuring Bruwer from South Africa; and Community & Sharing led by Kayla from France.
Fans can vote for their favorite finalist by liking their post on the official Ultimate Championship Instagram account from 10 August to 14 August (23:59 CEST). The finalist with the most likes will be named the Phase 2 winner and will earn a trip to the Ultimate Championship Final in Budapest.
The Phase 2 winner, along with two finalists from Phase 1, will compete in Budapest for the title of Ultimate Fan. Finalists will get the chance to meet athletics icon Usain Bolt and showcase their abilities in front of thousands at the stadium event.
The World Athletics Ultimate Championship, set for 2026, is a new event bringing together Olympic champions, world champions, and Diamond League final winners to compete for the ultimate title.
Fans play a key role in selecting the participants, adding an interactive element to the championship experience.
