The upcoming Wanda Diamond League meeting in Lausanne on 21 August will feature a highly anticipated 200m race between Letsile Tebogo and Gout Gout. Tebogo previously impressed at Lausanne's Pontaise Stadium with a 19.64-second victory, just after winning Olympic gold in Paris with an African record of 19.46 seconds.

Gout Gout, an Australian teenager, holds the world U20 record for the 200m with a 19.67-second run set in April 2025. He has previously raced Tebogo in the semi-finals of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, where Tebogo won.

The women's 800m will also be a highlight, with Audrey Werro—who recently ran 1:53.98, the third-fastest time ever—competing in front of her home crowd.
