On Day 4 of the 2026 Junior World Championships in Rijeka, Russia claimed four of the nine medals awarded, showcasing impressive performances by their young divers.
Fourteen-year-old Miroslav Kiselev earned his second junior world title in as many days. He partnered with Kirill Kosimov to win gold in the boys’ synchro platform event. The pair moved up from sixth place to victory, thanks to two final dives each scoring at least 72 points. Earlier, Kiselev captured the boys’ B platform title for ages 14-15.
Kosimov credited their partnership's success to resolving early challenges, noting that their similar height and technique helped. He emphasized strong communication, effective coaching, and plans to dive together in future competitions with a more challenging program.
Australia’s Hayden Brinckley and Archie Forsyth took silver in the boys’ synchro platform, trailing the Russians by just 1.38 points. Britain's Jorden Fisher Eames and Robbie Wood earned bronze. The event included a challenging dive, the back 3½ (207C), which none of the medalists attempted, impacting the final standings of teams from Italy and Germany.
In the girls’ A 3m final (ages 16–18), Viktoria Kazantseva defeated her teammate Nadezhda Trifonova, adding to Russia’s medal count.
In the mixed team event, which was postponed, China won gold among 15 nations, Mexico finished second, and Russia took bronze.
