Pipat Paniangvait, born July 4, 1939, in Bangkok, Thailand, was a prominent figure in aquatic sports and Thai business. Early in life, he won gold medals in local and regional swimming competitions, showing a strong dedication to aquatic sports from a young age.

He served as a member of the FINA Bureau before being elected FINA Honorary Treasurer in 2009, a position he held for 12 years. During his tenure, he provided stable financial oversight to the International Federation and helped steer it through the financial impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. World Aquatics President Husain Al Musallam expressed deep sorrow at his passing and extended condolences to the Thailand Swimming Association and Paniangvait's family.

Beyond aquatic sports, Paniangvait was a distinguished business leader, serving as President and CEO of Thai President Foods Public Company Limited and as Advisor to the Board at President Rice Products Public Company Limited. He was married and had seven children. His contributions are remembered in both the swimming community and Thai industry.
