Melissa Jefferson-Wooden won the 100m at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest, recording the joint seventh-fastest time in history. She held off Olympic champion Julien Alfred and 2023 world champion Sha'Carri Richardson in a closely contested race.
Jefferson-Wooden, who previously won titles in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay at the last World Championships, now adds the inaugural Ultimate title to her achievements.
Julien Alfred finished second in 10.74 seconds, while Sha'Carri Richardson placed third in 10.76 seconds.
