Kenya has selected a 16-member team for the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen on 19-20 September. Leading the squad is world 10km record-holder Agnes Ngetich, who will compete in the women's half marathon. Ngetich holds the Kenyan record with a time of 1:03:04, ranking her second on the world all-time list. She previously won the world cross-country title in January.

Daniel Ebenyo, silver medallist in the men's half marathon in Riga three years ago, is also named in the men's half marathon team. Ebenyo's achievements include a world cross-country bronze and a 10,000m silver at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. He will be joined by Nicholas Kipkorir, Michael Kiplangat, and Gideon Rono for the men's half marathon.

The women's half marathon team also features Daisilah Jerono, Lilian Kasait, and Veronica Loleo alongside Ngetich. For the 5km events, Commonwealth Games 5000m champion Mathew Kipsang and 2022 African 10,000m gold medallist Caroline Nyaga are part of the team. The mile races see Naomi Korir and Brian Komen representing Kenya.

Kenya topped the medal table at the previous World Road Running Championships in Riga, winning five gold, three silver, and four bronze medals. The roster includes Mirriam Cherop and Naomi Korir for the women's mile, Caroline Gitonga and Caroline Nyaga for the women's 5km, and Cherop and Korir as part of the wider team. For the men, Brian Komen and Daniel Munguti are entered in the mile, while Charles Kiboino and Mathew Kipsang will run the 5km event.
