The 2026 Doha Diamond League meeting, moved to June, will feature the complete men's javelin and triple jump World Championship podiums. Javelin competitors include world champion Keshorn Walcott, two-time world champion Anderson Peters, and world bronze medallist Curtis Thompson. Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra will open his season, competing alongside world leader Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage of Sri Lanka, who threw 92.62m in Rome to join the world all-time top eight. Pathirage has won five of six events this year, his only loss coming against Peters in Rabat at his Diamond League debut.
Doha is known for strong javelin performances, with Chopra, Peters, and Jakub Vadlejch all setting personal bests at the venue. With Pathirage surpassing 92 metres this season, fans can expect a high-level contest and potentially standout throws.
In the men's triple jump, Pedro Pichardo, Andrea Dallavalle, and Lazaro Martinez—the top three at the most recent World Championships in Tokyo—will compete. World indoor silver medallist Jordan Scott and bronze medallist Yasser Triki also join the lineup, with season bests of 17.66m and 17.32m respectively.
The women's triple jump will showcase world indoor and outdoor champion Leyanis Perez Hernandez and Olympic champion Thea Lafond. Saly Sarr, the world indoor bronze medallist, and Davisleydi Velazco, winner of her last five events including the Oslo Diamond League, will also compete.
Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino will run her first Diamond League 400m race of 2026 against Olympic bronze medallist Natalia Bukowiecka and Cuba’s Roxana Gomez. The men’s 110m hurdles will feature world champion Cordell Tinch and Jamal Britt, who recently broke the sub-13-second mark with a 12.99 at the Los Angeles Grand Prix.
