After leaving athletics, Tinch worked various jobs to support himself. He then joined US Cellular, planning to stay there long-term.
At US Cellular, Tinch found he excelled at helping customers, especially older individuals unfamiliar with technology, guiding them in using phones and devices to improve daily life.
