Alexia Putellas has been named the 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League Player of the Season by the UEFA Technical Observer Group, following Barcelona's title-winning campaign capped by a 4-0 victory over OL Lyonnes in the final. The midfielder led the competition with 14 goal contributions, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in 11 matches. Her passing accuracy was 86.73%, and she reached a top speed of 25.77 km/h during the tournament.

The UEFA Technical Observer Group highlighted Putellas’s exceptional game control, ability to find spaces, and penetrative runs that stretched opposition defenses. After her Player of the Match performance in the quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid—including a late penalty—her movement and chance creation were especially praised.

This is Putellas’s second Player of the Season accolade, having previously won in 2021/22. The award was most recently held by Aitana Bonmatí, who won it for three consecutive seasons from 2022/23 to 2024/25.
