The U.S. Department of Energy has announced new appointments to the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB), an important part of its strategy to promote American energy leadership.

Members, who serve two-year terms, come from diverse backgrounds including research, energy exploration and production, finance, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The board meets quarterly to advise on key issues within the department's scope and to provide recommendations for improving DOE operations.

Secretary of Energy Chris Wright stated that the diverse expertise of the appointees will be essential as the DOE advances affordable, reliable, and secure U.S. energy access. The current members’ terms will expire in May 2028.

The new SEAB members include executives and leaders such as John Addison, Eimear P. Bonner, Cody Campbell, and others from prominent organizations in the energy sector.
