Donna Raynor has dedicated many years to leadership in athletics, including a 12-year tenure as President of the Bermuda National Athletics Association. She later joined the World Athletics Council, contributing internationally after serving on NACAC committees and World Athletics commissions.
Raynor identifies her key leadership experiences as building strong teams, fostering community relationships—especially with the media—and supporting Bermudian athletes' achievements. These experiences have deeply shaped her leadership and service style.
As a woman in sports governance, Raynor had to work harder to gain respect, be taken seriously, and demonstrate her competence. She actively pursued board roles and contributed ideas during meetings to ensure her knowledge and voice were recognized. Her determined approach, developed through similar professional challenges, helped her earn recognition and respect in sports administration.
Raynor currently advances her advocacy for women in athletics through her leadership on the World Athletics Gender Leadership Taskforce and as Chair of the NACAC Gender Leadership Committee. These roles focus on increasing women's representation in sports leadership.
