World Aquatics will host a free online webinar via Zoom on bone health and osteoporosis prevention for Masters participants, especially those involved in non-weight-bearing aquatic sports. The session is scheduled for 12:00 CET and requires prior registration.

As participants age, maintaining bone health is essential for ongoing activity and sport participation. The webinar will offer practical information on how proper training, lifestyle, and health strategies support bone strength, focusing on Masters athletes.

The webinar will be led by Dr. James Miller of the World Aquatics Sports Medicine Committee and Guy Phiri from the World Aquatics Masters Committee. Dr. Miller highlighted the cardiovascular and muscle endurance benefits of aquatic sports while noting their lower bone-loading compared to impact sports.

This webinar is part of the 2026 Masters Education Programme, which promotes health and wellbeing among Masters participants through expert guidance and education. The programme will end with a webinar on nutrition for Masters participants, with dates to be announced.
