The task force's actions resulted in 12,747 arrests, including 131 for homicide, 1,363 for narcotics, 1,276 for firearms violations, 125 for sex offenses, and 1,408 known gang members. Additionally, 2,160 illegal firearms were seized, and 189 missing children were located. These results follow a historic crime decline in 2025, when Memphis saw a 28% reduction in overall crime compared to 2024.
In 2024, Memphis had the highest violent and property crime rates in the United States, with a murder rate exceeding cities such as Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and Washington, D.C. Its overall crime rate was 344% above the national average.
