The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) will feature 14 rounds across five continents in 2026, maintaining a stable schedule with no new events and the return of Rally Croatia as a fan favorite. The calendar spans diverse terrain: four asphalt rounds, nine gravel events, and one on ice and snow, reflecting the championship's varied challenges.

Rally1 remains the flagship category at the top of the FIA Rally Pyramid, utilizing technical regulations introduced in 2022. These Rally1 vehicles feature a tubular safety cell developed through extensive research, reducing accident intrusion by up to 50% and significantly improving safety.

The 2026 season will be the last to use the current Rally1 technical framework. A major regulatory overhaul, referred to as WRC27, will be introduced in 2027, focusing on affordability, sustainability, accessibility, and retaining top-tier rally performance.

All competitors in Rally1, Rally2, and Rally3 categories will use Hankook-supplied tires during the championship, supporting sustainability while ensuring performance and safety.

Recent seasons have seen close competition for titles across drivers, co-drivers, and manufacturers. The upcoming season will continue to award world championship titles in these categories.
