World Aquatics will begin its 2026 Masters Education Programme with an online webinar titled "Pre-hab Shoulder Health," scheduled for 26 May 2026 at 12:00 CEST. This free session will offer practical advice to swimmers, divers, water polo players, and artistic swimmers on maintaining shoulder health and preventing injuries through complementary training such as yoga and Pilates.
The webinar will be led by Nadine Day, Chair of the World Aquatics Masters Committee and a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Drawing on her experience as a Masters swimmer, coach, and physician in the United States, Day will provide a multidisciplinary perspective on shoulder injury prevention.
The session will focus on accessible, practical strategies that Masters athletes can integrate into their regular training routines. Nadine Day emphasized that shoulder injuries are common among Masters participants but are often preventable.
The webinar will take place on Zoom and is free to attend. Participants are invited to register through the provided link. The 2026 Masters Education Programme will include additional webinars on topics such as women's health, osteoporosis, and nutrition, with dates to be announced.
