The FIA World Baja Cup for 2026 will feature an eight-round calendar, with the best six results counting toward the championship. The calendar is synchronized with the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) to avoid clashes and provide competitors with a variety of challenging terrains across different continents.
The season opens in the Middle East with the Saudi Baja, held in the An-Nafud desert from January 29 to 31, shortly after the Dakar Rally. The Jordan Baja follows on February 12 to 14, organized by Jordan Motorsport in Wadi Rum. These Middle Eastern events also form part of the FIA Middle East Baja Cup.
After a four-month break, the series resumes in Europe, starting with Baja Greece from June 4 to 7, which recently advanced from the FIA European Baja Cup. Subsequent events include the Italian Baja in Pordenone from June 25 to 28, Baja Spain Aragón in Teruel from July 23 to 26, and the BP Ultimate Baja de Portalegre in Portugal from October 15 to 18.
The championship concludes in the Middle East with the Qatar International Baja between October 28 and 31, and the final round in Dubai from November 5 to 8. These dates are set to avoid conflicts with the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.
Each FIA World Baja Cup event lasts up to four days, including two days of competition covering at least 350 competitive kilometers. Titles will be contested in Overall, Ultimate, Challenger, SSV, Stock, Junior, and Master Cups. Eligibility for the Junior Cup is limited to competitors under 26 who do not hold Platinum or Gold status, while the Master Cup is for those over 50 without such status.
The points system combines final overall and group standings, awarding points from 30 for first place down to 2 for 15th, with one point for retired crews, maintaining the system revised by the Cross-Country Rally Commission.
