Winners included Wang Zongyuan in the men's 3m springboard and Bai Yuming in the men's 10m platform. Chinese teams also took the mixed team event title and won both men's and women's synchro categories.
Four Chinese divers—Wang Zongyuan, Chen Jia, Lu Wei, and Bai Yuming—each captured two gold medals. Other Chinese medalists included Chen Yiwen and Zheng Jiuyuan, who earned gold and silver, while Mexican and Australian athletes secured silver and bronze medals.
Two of the gold medals were decided by slim margins, with Chen Jia defeating Chen Yiwen by 35 points in the women's 3m springboard and Bai Yuming edging Randal Willars Valdez of Mexico by 80 points in the men's 10m platform. The largest margin was Jiang Linjing's 75-point win over Anna Konanykhina of Russia in the women's 10m platform. The average winning margin in the other six finals was about 40.9 points.
Teenage divers were among the medalists, including 19-year-olds Ellie Cole of Australia and Bai Yuming of China, 16-year-olds Yang Zhihao, Liu Chengzan, and Mark Hrytsenko of Ukraine, and 15-year-olds Jiang Linjing and Zhao Renjie of China. Zhao Renjie was the youngest gold medalist, taking the men's 10m synchronized platform with Yang Zhihao.
Australia earned the most medals among non-Chinese countries, with three (one silver, two bronze), while Mexico's divers won one silver and two bronze medals.
