The Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) was established in 2014 as a collaboration between the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), several biopharmaceutical and life science companies, non-profit organizations, and others. This partnership aims to transform the development of new diagnostics and treatments by improving patient access to these medical tools while reducing development time and cost.
AMP focuses on enhancing the understanding of therapeutically relevant biological pathways and validating data to advance the development of new therapeutics. The collaboration enables partners to share expertise and resources, fostering scientific advances from all participants.
The program is managed by the Foundation for the NIH (FNIH) and is a registered service mark of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
