Transport ministers from European Union member states will hold an informal video conference on 21 April 2026 to discuss the impact of recent Middle East geopolitical developments on the EU's transport system and sector.
The meeting, chaired by Alexis Vafeades, Cyprus Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, will begin at 09:30 and include a press conference at approximately 11:30. The press conference will feature Alexis Vafeades and Apostolos Tzitzikostas, Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism.
The press conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing EU-accredited journalists to participate either remotely or in person at the Justus Lipsius building press room. Media registration is required by the morning of 21 April.
