Department of Energy Issues Notices in Response to Court Orders

The Department of Energy (DOE) is issuing notices and orders to employees, contractors, and grantees as required by recent court decisions. These actions follow rulings from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington at Seattle and the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.

Documents distributed include a Notice of Court Order dated March 20, 2025, an Order on Motion for Contempt from March 17, 2025, a Notice of Court Order from March 5, 2025, and an order granting in part and denying in part a motion for a preliminary injunction from the Western District of Washington.

A Temporary Restraining Order was also issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. The DOE is providing these documents in compliance with the courts’ mandates.
