President Biden has submitted a series of nominations to the Senate for various federal positions. Among them is David Brat of Virginia, nominated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Australia. Other nominees include Hal Duncan for Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget and Sean Kaufman for Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Additional nominations include Jeffrey Ledbetter for Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, George McMaster as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, and Richard O’Malley for Deputy Under Secretary of Defense. Juan Segura is nominated for multiple roles, including Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs and membership on the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Foundation. Abby Warren is nominated for Assistant Secretary of Commerce. Judicial nominations include Benjamin M. Flowers and Matthew A. Schwartz for United States Circuit Judgeships in the Sixth and Second Circuits, respectively.

Separately, the White House has submitted withdrawals for certain previously sent nominations: Daniel Bonham for Assistant Secretary of Labor, Carter Crow for General Counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Sean Plankey for Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and Scott Socha for Director of the National Park Service.

These actions were formally communicated to the Senate as part of the standard confirmation process for executive and judicial appointments.
